Rules:
In order to apply for the scholarship you will have to:

Download and print (or pick up from the main office) our "Teacher Recommendation Form" and ask one of your teachers to fill it out for you.

Turn in the conference application signed by your parents together with the teacher recommendation form filled out by your teacher

You will have your name entered twice into the drawing if you share the picture of our flyer in your social media and send us a screenshot of it to our Instagram or Twitter account @olasfasu


The college application and admission processes

An admissions officer will explain the step by step process on how to apply for college, and what do students need to get admitted to SFA. Then the college student speakers will have a chance to give the high school students some tips and tricks on what they wish they would have known before they started applying for college.

Tiered Classroom
A financial aid officer will give the students a brief explanation about the SFA Scholarship application, the work-study program, FAFSA, and TAFSA. Then the student speakers will have a chance to provide more information about private scholarships that have helped them pay for college and tips and tricks about having a job off-campus.

This is a student-led session where college students give advice on how to smooth the transition of going from High School to College. What helped them feel less homesick and what helped them personally to have a great experience at SFA, such as organizations they joined, their daily routines, etc.

This session is focused on taking pride on your background, your struggles, and taking care of your mental health in the process. Attending college can be an emotional rollercoaster and students can get lost in the process of finding their identity. In this session, college students will share their stories, tips, and tricks on how their background was a key factor in their success in college and finding their true passion for what they wanted to do as a career.
